Technical specifications for peg tiles (Click to view)

Sahtas Peg Tiles are manufactured in a similar way to the plain tiles except they have no nibs, are slightly smaller and flatter, and have large square nail/peg holes. The name “Peg Tile” is derived from its method of fixing as originally (as far back as Roman times) these tiles would have been hung with wooden pegs pushed through the peg hole and hooked over the battens.

Nowadays, they are often nailed into the battens for added security or a larger diameter alloy clout nail is used to hook over the batten. We normally keep stocks of Multi, Restoration, Orange, Red, Classic Weathered and Classic Brown Pegs and the associated fittings; but they are available in any colour to order.
